Failure to deliver on Orde

I recently purchased an item through the Groupon website. My order was processed and the amount reserved on my credit. Delivery was estimated at 4 weeks. After 4 weeks my order had not arrived so I contacted Groupon and was told it would arrive shortly. After 5 weeks my order had still not arrived and this time after contacting Groupon I was told that the supplier was out of stock and that I would be refunded. Firstly, why was I never contacted with regards to this, why didnt I have to keep following up and secondly how can you accept my order and reserve the amount on my credit card wihout being sure whether or not you can supply the product. At the time at which I placed the order your website indicated a certain amount of stock remaining so surely if you have a certain amount of stock and keep track of this with each order then when my order was processed it meant you had stock of the item. I am really disappointed with the lack of communication I received, the lack apologies or explanantions when I complainedand the failure to deliver my order. You had no problem in reserving the amount on my credit card but lots of problems in satisfying the client
