UNNECESSARY ACCOUNT CLOSURE

1. on 4th Dec 2012 I ordered goods from Groupon and paid by credit card. Shortly thereafter I was requested to supply documents so that the payment can be verified but I thought that the request would compromise my personal security. I allowed the timeframe to elapse and received a refund a few days later.
2. In the interim I ordered the goods (same items) again and paid by EFT. I received confirmation that payment had been received and downloaded the vouchers.
3. No delivery in 5 weeks and in all of that time i was able to see all the vouchers in 1. and 2. above and that the items in 2. above were still active.
4. When I submitted a query regarding delivery i received very poor responses. Over the time that these queries were being dealt with (about 9 days) my groupon account remained available online but all orders mysteriously disappeared.
5. After phoning the company I was told that my account was closed because the documents required for a cancelled order were not received (item 1 above). How can the account be closed when there are open paid orders?
6. In all the correspondence I was never offered a refund.
