Non delivery of product promoted as Christmas gift

Early December Groupon marketed this as "Ideal as a Christmas gift". This is the reason I bought it: to use as a Christmas gift. As Groupon promoted stated. I received the voucher on the 5th of December'12. Groupon only redeemed it on the 18th of December'12, 9 working days after I received the voucher.

I bought another Christmas present as this one was not delivered in time.

So what must I now do with it? Use it myself? What will I do then with the diary I bought for myself, that I have been using since the beginning of January 2013?

Surely Groupon can not expect me to start using it a month after the year has started already?

I sincerely believe that Groupon mislead me with marketing this as an "Ideal as a Christmas gift", which effectively now mean that I will end-up with a product unsuitable for the purpose I bought it.

I have asked quite a while ago that Groupon advise me my options, which should include at least a refund or suitable discounted / credit on my account for this specific deal.

I have had no response as yet.

Surely this is not in line with the CPA?
