SAA
Why SAA are in the dwang

Traveling & Tourism

From the SAA Voyager site, I booked a SAA-flight online using 15 500 Vogayer miles.

I then committed a further 6500 Voyager miles to an AVIS vehicle booking,
thinking (like the air ticket) it would go on to prompt me for the pick-up, location date, times, etc.
- it didn't.

So, I went through AVIS online booking (where I did fill out the pick-up location date, times, etc),
thinking it would prompt me for a Voyager Miles-redemption code - it didn't.

I queried with AVIS :
seem's like I should have booked with them FIRST (Just how are we meant to know this?),
using AVIS's booking reference in the SAA Voyager "Reservation Number"-field
(the SAA Voyager-site was non-specific on this, so I had used my SAA flight booking reference instead...).

I e-mailed SAA Voyager on 14 February 2013; they did not bother to reply.
Today a spent 15 minutes on my cell phone queuing for an operator;
whom basically said they can't/won't correct their voucher.

Now I have a useless voucher and am 6500 Voyager miles out of pocket...

This lack of customer feedback / service is why SAA need their wings clipped.
