I took a greyhound bus on Monday night from Dbn to PTA and this was to be the worst trip i have ever taken. The bus got delayed at Montrose for about 30 minutes and no apology was given.
The worst part of the trip was when we got to JHB station and were asked to grab our luggage and disembark the bus as it had to go back to the depot. After an hour of waiting we were then forced to travel in what was a already full low budget coach CITILINER, with some people standing for the rest of the trip. Our bus was scheduled to arrive in PTA at 05h40 but ended up arriving at 08h15 due to poor customer service and plain disregard for customers by Greyhound. This resulted in most of us arriving late for work that day, putting our jobs at risk.
What upset me the most is that there was no remorse shown by the Greyhound staff. To them this was a normal procedure and no one cared about the inconvenience this caused to their passengers. Despite our verbal complaints to the members of staff, we did not receive a single apology. I am truly disappointed in Greyhound and doubt that I will ever use its services again.
