I would like to express my disappointment in the service I received from SAA. My family and I flew from johannesburg to mumbai. On the return leg, I called the call centre to request pricing for an upgrade from economy to business class. I called on December 24. My reference number was (not displayed) an my family was (not displayed)

After calling, i was told to call back in 2 hours after which the upgrade price estimate would be available on the system.

I then tried again on the 26th and they mentioned to me that the upgrade price was not yet processed and available on the system. They mentioned to me that the offices were closed being a holiday and that i should call back on the 27th. This was 2 days after my initial request.

I called back on the 27th and was told that the fare difference on my booking was R7, 000 and on the second reference it was R 700, which was for the infant only. They did not process the new costs for my wife and child. I was then put on hold for around 15 minutes, after I told the call centre agent a few times that I was calling from overseas. This was not resolved. I emailed customer care on 7 jan, still no reply, very inefficient.
