No Voyager tickets available!

I have been trying to book flights to Europe with my Voyager miles for Aug/Sept this year for the last 2 weeks.

I was told today that not one Star Alliance airline had a ticket available from 27 Aug to mid September!!! I was told in Dec 2013 when I first tried to book that the Voyager ticket sales had not yet opened, but I should try in Jan. Now they tell me there are no tickets available.
How is this possible. It is 8 months ahead of the time??
