I spent more than R200.000 on flights last year with SAA and was registered with a Voyager acct. I had a lot of problems doing retroactive claims but after several months and much wasted time I was able to retroactively claim my miles for all of my flights made from Mozambique to Europe/US for 2012. Everything was fine for 6 months untill a few days ago, the Voyager system was not allowing me to use any of my accrued miles. I checked the Ad Hoc statement and it showed the rejection of all of my claims from the last year. This put me with negative miles and downgrading me from Gold status. Since all of the claims had cleared and been credited to my account, I already trashed my tickets bc they should not have been of any further use, so now I only have my company travel itineraries which is not accepted as proof. I have written several inquiries to SAA Voyager customer service and didnt receive any answer about my thousands of lost miles. I asked at the Voyager lounge in Johannesburg and was told I had to go into the city to resolve that type of issue. Fat chance since I live in maputo and only transit in Johannesburg.
