Translux/City To City
Bus delayed for 4 hours

I was on a City to City bus from Dbn to Jhb yesterday.

The metro police stopped the coach because the bus driver did not have the correct permits to transport us to Jhb. They then escorted us to Pmb and we had to wait in the blistering hot weather until they released us. They said the delay was due to the permits being for organised tours and not for individual paying trips. Was the company not aware of this? There were 2 buses which had to go to Pmb??? This is absolutely unacceptable!!! We were then transferred to another coach but after numerous long and tedious discussions between the police and the bus drivers.

This created a major inconvenience because we had to make alternate arrangements for being picked up at the drop off point. Our intial arrival time was 1800 and we only arrived in Midrand past 21:00. This is just unacceptable!!!
