Earlier this year, hubby bought 2 tickets to Cape Town to attend the wedding of a friend of ours. He made the mistake of buying both in his last name instead of 1 in mine. I have decided not to change my name and I kept all my documentation in my maiden name, all my documentation was in my maiden name. Kulula refused me to board. They refused to do a last name change. We asked them to cancel the tickets and to allow us to buy them again, they refused to do that. We asked for someone who is in a position to make a decision re this, they send us to customer care. They made no effort either and refused to do a name change. They could not tell us why, just that it is regulation. We asked what about the tickets, the lady told us we shall be able to use them again. We went to OR to try for standby and they told us we need tickets for that. We said we do have! To hear Oh we do not do standby. Today we phoned to make use of the tickets and we were told: Sorry the tickets were cancelled as we were a "no show" in Cape Town on that day. Now how we must show without being allowed on the plane? We could cancel the car then, but accommodation we lost our money and now our tickets.
