I booked 2 tickets from C/Town to JHB and back on 15 Nov '13. Flight centre booked and we paid them. We received the reservation no and flight details. We arrived at C/Town international on 26 Nov '13 and boarded plane to JHB as per our booking. All 100% as booked. When we tried to fly back to C/Town from JHB we were informed that the booked flight is 2 hours late, but we were asked if we changed the booking, as we were not showing on there system and had no plane to take back home. the lady helping us said that we did not board our first flight and because of the 'no-show', they cancelled our flight back.
I presented them with the boarding pass that we got for the morning flight, but that was not accepted that we used the earlier booked flight. According to Kulula we were not there, so they refused to get us on a plane that we've already paid for. Kulula's ticket office at OR Tambo said that we can either book into a hotel for the night and sort it out with Flight Centre in the morning, or buy new tickets. we bought new tickets and is still waiting for a refund. 1 question, how could they not know that we were on the morning flight? We could have been terrorists.. zero safety!
