Change of Flight Fees

Hi, on the 5th Feb I booked 2 return tickets 2 months in advance, I then decided that I would like to extend my trip and change the return date for both tickets. Today, 8th Feb, I tried to make the change on the website and was not able to however I noticed that the new return date tickets were each R200 less than the original purchase. On calling the call centre I discovered that to change the tickets I would be charged a R342.00 per ticket admin fee (couldn't tell me what this was made up of - so much for full disclosure) and I would not get the benefit of the cheaper ticket. If however the new tickets had cost more, I would have been charged more.
So in total my new tickets would cost me approximately R1, 000.00 more, needless to say I will not be changing my tickets but I am totally disgusted that companies get away with this type of behaviour.
