I have opened a Telkom business account and I haven't been receiving any monthly statements from them. 3 weeks ago one of their collections agents who was sounding contacted me about it and I told him that I haven't received any statements and to my surprise the bill was R4902.50 when he sent the statement. I tried to negotiate with him that I can afford to pay R100 p.m because I am currently unemployed and my business had stopped operating because it was running at a loss. He then said I must pay 40% of that amount within 24hrs, which is impossible. I deposited R102.50 to their account and last Wednesday (24/04/2013) he sent me an email saying he has not received any payments nor feedback from me and that he will forward my name and business name to the credit bureu to be listed. I had to email Telkom on Friday (26/04/2013) about this matter and tried to make payment arrangements that I can afford, which they haven't replied to.
