MTN incapable of resolving debit order change

I requested a change in my debit order details on the 21st November. MTN was amongst a group of debit orders changed, the rest of my debits all went through fine.
MTN did not debit my account at the end of the month, instead they chose to block my phone (without warning) on the 11/12/2012. After numerous calls/emails they unblocked my phone, but were unable to debit my bank account even though the updated details from November were correct!!
They finally debited my account on 13/12/2012... then didn't debit me again at the end of December.
My account now reflects as 30 days in arrears AND NOBODY AT THEIR CALL CENTRE HAS A CLUE AS HOW TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!!
They will not escalate the call to a manager and generally seem unable/unwilling to assist in what should be a very simple matter.
I have been with MTN for 14 years but am prepared to take the knock for my current contact cancellation and walk away.
Just let me know MTN... this is shocking service, more than 30 emails have passed between me and your call centre.
