1000% Over My Bandwidth Limit on a Managed Server!

I have a managed server on a fixed package 50gb per month with Afrihost, my account with them is about 12 months old. Over this period I only exceeded this limit with 10 to 20% on 2 occasions which is quite understandable BUT all of a sudden this month they took of by debit order an additional R3122 over and above my normal R2087 fee. The reason being that apparently I used 500gb of bandwidth in February 2013 on my managed account with 50gb cap, that is 1000% over my cap, not just double but 10x which is absolutely ridiculous judging from my history alone. Now I ask you how does this happen on a MANAGED server, surely only through a massive up by some Afrihost engineer as the like to be called. The reason I have a MANAGED account is my apparent misplaced faith in Afrihost to actually do what I faithfully pay them for every month. So far I've had no explanation that made any sense or anyone owning up to a mistake, they are trying to blame everything but their server MANAGEMENT fail. This Afrihost mistake fails the legal test what the law call "reasonable man" completely, so come on Afrihost rectify your error, restore my faith in you please?
