Repeated bad customer service

I recently moved to the UK and wanted to change my contract to a R50 anytime sim only contract. The contract was past its 24 month period so this should have been easy.

Issue1: I've had experience with MTNs "customer service" before so I tried to change the contract a few days before I left. The systems were down and I couldn't get the contract changed. On my last day in SA I went to the OR Tambo branch and was helped by Candice who processed the change to the contract for me. She promised to send through my invoice for the contract change to my email address however this never came through.

When I checked the contract online (MTN Active) I saw that the contract had been extended by 18 months but the base contract had not changed - I was still on an expensive blackberry based contract.

Issue 2: I logged a self service query on MTN Active explaining that I am I the UK and that the contract was loaded incorrectly. After more than 10 days there was finally a response online - go to the store and fix it!
1) why must I travel to Your Store to fix Your mistake?
2) I'm in the UK?

The MTN customer care line is just as useless - I keep getting cut off.

This is unacceptable.
