Shock that Vodacom dictate to their customers

I've been a Vodacom contract customer for a few years now. Last year I had some major issues with my BB 9800 Torch and ended up taking it in for repairs at Vodacare. The phone was shipped to Jhb and I was informed to collect the device at the same outlet. I was shocked to be given a new device (same make) and nobody bothering to inform me what the problems were with the previous device.

The new device is worse!
-freezes; short battery life (20m) when not on charger (even less when talking for no more than 10m); shocking reception etc etc.

I finally decided to take the phone in to Vodacare and informed them that there is no way that I'll be using the same device again- I request another BB device (It will be device no.3 within a space of a year!!). I was promptly informed "it's up to head office to decide whether you get another BB device as it falls outside the warranty period" (Not exactly the response I was expecting).

Vodacom is very happy to take my R1500 monthly bill phone insurance money (no claims!) and I don't complain. I then get informed that my loan phone will have no emails.

Needless to say I left fuming, nothing resolved & considering another network operator!!
