Telecommunications

On the 6th February 2013 we went to Telkom Sea Point to enquire about installing a telephone line in our flat in order to get internet.
We decided on the following deal on offer; Fast 2MB 10GB ADSL, Telkom landlin rental included, FREE evening and weekend landline calls, FREE wi-fi modem, FREE installation, FREE 3G dongle with a once of of 500MB data (R499 per month) and signed the deal. The consultant advised that installation would take up to 2 weeks.

On the 28 February 2013, after a number of issues with the bookings and installation team (this is another story altogether - just poor service delivery altogether) the line was installed. I have just received my first statement and to my horror, a bill that was signed to be R499 per month, the total of the bill is R1426.35!!!

Firstly I seem to have been billed for something in the month of April 2013 - how can you bill me for something I have not even used? And i have been charged R621.28 for a Dongle that was told was FREE in the package listed above.

There is MOST DEFINATELY something wrong here!
