TELKOM Simple - not so SIMPLE

I currently have a ADSL package {1Meg line, free callmore calls and 10 gig internet} from Telkom which i have had for over 2 years. I called in to the call centre to enquire about a current promotion called Telkom SImple, where you get a 2Meg line, free landline calls in call more time and 10 gig internet for R499 per month. According to the consultant this promotion is for new customers only. But if i disconnect my line and reapply then i can benefit from this deal. Seriously? why cant i just get the deal and avoid all these administration? Or maybe i should cancel the Telkom account all together and sign up with Neotel. They do have a 10 gig internet deal with a 3meg line for R199 per month.
Anyways, i await a response.
