In July 2012 I did an upgrade on cellphone no 0832945042 and received a blackberry bold 9790 handset. The phone's battery did not last even last for 6 hours. Since then I returned the phone twice already. Everytime I have to be without a phone for at least 2 weeks. I have asked whether I can get a different handset altogether, but apparently it's not possible. On the 18th of January I logged a complaint on MTN's website with reference no 1634000. On the 15th of February I phoned again and was advised that they'll forward an email to the complaints team. You are not able to speak with anyone in the complaints department because they only work with emails. I phoned again today, 26 February and was again advised that they'll forward another email. All I want is to either get another phone or cancel my contract without having to pay in. I am a customer of MTN for the past 10 years and this is the way that the handle their customers? I have given them a chance to rectify the problem but seemingly they're not up for the challenge. I was advised that there is a major back log. Can you have a back log of 5 weeks???
