6 weeks for landline, no shows, and still not work

After waiting six weeks for a telephone line, Telkom didn't pitch when they called and confirmed. They were going to come the next day. A week later they finally came. Left and told me it worked. Next day, still not working. Telkom comes back. It works. Today, three days later: telephone line not working again. And Telkom is telling Afrihost my number doesn't exist, so I can't get an ADSL line.

I'm a student. I don't have time to stay at home for whole days to wait for people to come and activate a line when they don't even bother pitching. Now I have to go to the Direct Store - where I was told the last time I have to hang on the phone for 30 minutes until your call centre bothers helping me. Only, I'm hard of hearing and can't hear anything over the phone! They didn't understand! So I have to skip class and go tomorrow, to try and get the line fixed. What is so difficult for you to come in, activate a line, ensure that an ADSL connection is supported?

I need internet, it is very difficult for me to do my academic research without reliable internet.

You are known to be South Africa's most hated company. For me, you're just that. Please do your job, or resign.
