On 11 Oct 2012 I placed a comment on this forum regarding the poor internet speed on my 1Mbps uncapped account. Cybersmart did so much effort to fix this problem that I gave them a good smiley response rating after they fixed it. Sadly it would seem that this was premature, as here I'm sitting again with a nearly unusable internet connection for two weeks already. After reporting the problem, I was informed that it was a Telkom issue, and every day I get a SMS report back from Cybersmart that Telkom reports that the fault is due to a "network failure", but no proposed solution or time frame to fix the problem. On whose network is the fault, Telkom or Cybersmart? I get PPP authentication as fast as always, and my PPP indicator remains unflinchingly illuminated, but my internet speed is so slow that a speed test barely manages to get a ping, & a download/upload test takes at least 15mins to run! Work that would normally take me 30min in the evening, now takes over 5hours! For five years things went as smooth as a Swiss timepiece, so what went wrong with Cybersmart over the past few months?
