On Monday the 18th of Feb 2013, lightning struck our exchange in the Victory Park area (or so we are told by the person at the Telkom call centre), we called the support line and they logged a fault at the exchange and said that a technician will be out soon to resolve the issue. This was a big issue as my mom works from home, so she needs the internet.
it's now Thursday and nothing has happened. When my mom called again yesterday to find out if there is any updates regarding the issue, only to be told that her ticket has been escalated and also that Telkom does not have any technicians. NO TECHNICIANS?!?!?! Really? I'm pretty sure that that the person my mom spoke to meant that there are no technicians available. I will update this after my moms call this morning.
