I have got a Blackberry mobile handset with Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) and am not supposed get billed for internet usage on my mobile. However, I was billed for internet usage on my mobile handset from 22/12/2012 - 13/01/2013. After querying this with the MTN Business Operations call centre, a dispute was logged and I received the following feedback:
"Invoice in question has been investigated and charges are correct and valid. There is no bundle on account to bill data at a reduced rate. Data used depleted from available airtime and once there was no airtime extra cost were incurred, data usage was billed at R1.75 excl .vat per megabyte."
I replied that the explanation doesn't make sense since I have a Blackberry handset with BIS and has never been billed for internet usage on my mobile handset and I requested further feedback, but I haven't heard from anyone since then.
