Last week our speed on the 1meg line for torrent downloads was non-existent during the day but normal at night. This week we are getting 354kbps speeds even though we are paying for a 1 meg line. The speed is even at night. The speed test website that telkom used last week as definitive proof that we were getting what we were paying for is unresponsive at best. At last check it claimed I was getting 64mbps. Yeah right 35 mbps at best and we should be getting 100mbps that is what we are paying for after all. We are paying for a service we are not getting and I am sick and tired of the excuses and the complaints. When I phoned the technician said there was a lot a of competition for the 1mbps line and that is why the speed was slow and then the guy tried to talk me into upgrading to a 2 or 3mbps line instead of fixing the problem. Why would I want to do that. So that I could pay even more for a service I am not getting. I don't think so pal. Why does telkom offer a service it can't deliver. It's just dumb. I will keep complaining until they fix the problem that is a guarantee.
