USB modem internet connection useless

I signed a two year contract with MTN for a USB modem internet connection and this has proved a waste of time and money each month the service is erratic and at best an EDGE connection which times out most of the time and I am unable to get into the web sites and E-mail service that I require. At weekends it is even worse. I have phoned and complained even spending 18 minutes on my cell phone to try and get it sorted out but the only departments that you can talk to are the sales or technical departments without help to sort this problem out. I even spent three hours at their head office where I was shunted from pillar to post all without success. It is impossible to speak to management, during the last call to the technical department I was given the phone number of the tower department to request a check. This I did and have never been advised of the outcome. As it is impossible to speak to someone in charge to have the problem resolved. At this time I request that they cancel the contract that they do not honour. I have even sent a complaint to the consumer council on the 6th December 2012 and they have also chosen to ignore my complaint.
