Three weeks ago had a problem connecting to the Internet via ADSL. After struggling for about two hours phoned the call center who after "evaluating" the problem advised me that my router was at fault. Fortunately while still on the line, the internet connection came up, so obviously bad advice!
Saturday evening about 23:00hrs, same problem. Did not try to reconnect until the following day at about 18:00hrs, no connection. Finally called the call center, and was again advised that it must be my router.
After about 30mins on the phone trying everything that could be tried with the "technical person", the answer was the same. So off I went and spent R1399.00 on a new router.
Imagine my frustration after connecting up the new router to find that the problem persisted. Phoned the call center again, and was again advised again that it was a router that was faulty. After pointing out that I had just replaced the so-called faulty router, they then advised that there was a problem at the local exchange, and that there had also been a problem at the time I tried to connect on the Saturday evening. Approximately 5 minutes, later, the internet connection came on. Wasted my time and money!!!
