MTN UNFAIR PRACTICE RE OUT OF CONTRACT EXTRAS

I pay an additional R50 pm OUT OF CONTRACT for a bundle of 200 sms which are carried over for 3 months. As I was overseas for a 2 months and now using WhatsApp, I had over 600 sms available until 20th April. I decided to cancel this bundle. On 21 Jan I spoke to Mahlubi at MTN call centre to cancel this bundle. He said if I want to cancel this sms bundle (which I have paid for in advance) I would have to use ALL 600 available SMSs by 18 Feb! I said that is unfair as I had already paid for these. He said it is the 'contract rule'. But the sms bundle is not part of my contract, it is optional. I was unhappy with his response so he said he would get Simon his supervisor to phone me. At 8.20pm that night, my phone gave 2 rings only. No msg left, and I was unable to get through to that number. I phoned the call centre again a couple of days later, to be told that 'someone would ring me about this query'. How can the public pay for optional extras, the system tells you these sms still available until 20 April but when I want to cancel bundle I am told I now have to use them all up by 18 Feb - all 600 of them. Still waiting for someone at MTN to phone me.
