This is from a previous post starting on the 14th of Jan.
I have Cell C swoosh modem. I struggled to get someone from customer service to contact me. My contract is R300 for 5gig per month. I used 10gig in Jan and was billed an extra R2000.Normally a gig costs me R60, in Jan Cell C billed me an extra R2, 000 for the extra 5 gig which is R 4 0 0 per gig!
This was Cell C's response:
"Thank you for bringing the above to our attention. We do apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused, We have referred the matter to a competent team member. She will be gathering the necessary information, investigating further and reverting with the necessary feedback ."
Someone did phone me, but couldn't tell me why I was billed so much. She said she could only do so after the billings are finalised on the 7th of Feb. This is a reminder to Cell C that I want them to :
1. Explain how they can bill me so much per gig;
2. Provide me with proof where I agreed to allow them to bill be such an exorbitant amount;
3. Refer me to an ombudsman that handles these types of disputes;
4. Reconnect me so that I can use the modem
