MTN deducts data until credit limit is hit

When I signed up for a 500MB data bundle I was told that MTN would SMS when the li9mit is reached and then I can top it up. I get my statement and its billed me for R1000 switched data. I got NO notification whatsoever from MTN saying that I had hit my limit of 500MB, NOR did i get a notification saying the special deal is over and they have changed me onto 150MB data bundle. SO IM NOT PAYING R1800 in phone bills that I was completely unaware. Thanks for the ever disappointing and revolting customer service MTN. Your call centre advised there is nothing you can do and I must check my own data usage as they can just bill me! I hate MTN and your useless customer service! My contract is up on 12 June 2014 and I give you NOTICE I CANCEL!
