Don't be enticed by Telkom Mobile 5GB data

I had this conversation with numerous Telkom Mobile (TM) customer service agents and they all tell me the same thing. TM offers its customers, for example the "SmartPlan 100" which includes mainly, talk time of 100 minutes, a 150MB bundle of "all network" data and 5GB - only available on the TM network. In other words if the 150MB is depleted, the customer will automatically be billed for the data used, if this data is not provided TM. There is NO WAY to disable this feature and obviously there is no practical way of checking which network, Vodacom, MTN, etc... is supplying the data. If the customer has a limit of R0 with their account (contract), there is no way you will be able to make a call (just imagine an emergency) and one cannot buy airtime from a tuck-shop or anywhere, if one's 100 minutes and "all network" data is depleted you're done. If you want to be safe you are forced to have a limit of say R300, but "out of bundle data" will also come out of this R300 limit. Thus, TM expects the customer to continuously check their data usage to see if they are actually using data from TM or some other network. I would like to know why TM are allowing this devious service.
