Data usage out of control with no help from Vodaco

Good day

A few months back on my contract, on a normal day I checked my data usage, as I do every single day, not to get a surprise at the end of the month. My data was depleted and I phoned Vodacom immediately as I knew that there is no way that I used up all the data. I even got billed quite a big amount that month for going over my data limit. Vodacom came back to me and said I did in fact use the data, but as a sign of good faith and as I am a 'loyal' client they will credit my account with the extra bill.

Tonight, the same thing happened! BUT, this time it is only the second day of the month and the customer care guy, who I just spoke to, told me that there was a connection on my phone as from yesterday morning, up to tonight after 21:00. He even told me that it's not really possible to make use of a phone for more than 24 hours continously. Well, I know that I didn't use the phone for more than 24hours straight! And further, there is no way I used up 500MB.

Once again Vodacom let me know just now that they will take 14 working days to get back to me. WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO FOR THE NEXT 3 WEEKS? Buy more data and hope that the same thing dont happen again?
