Something very fishy

I have been a contract Vodacom customer for over 4 years. And my previous records would show that I have never ever paid more than R1500 in any month that I have been with Vodacom. The following is my very first occurrence with a Vodacom contract.
Monday 28 October I received a Vodacom Alert sms stating unusually high usage detected on my number exceeding R5385.91. Shocked, I immediately called Data Enquiries number, spoke to a consultant, enquired and lodged a complaint/dispute, as my balance enquiry showed I still had 100 MB data bundle balance. The consultant advised me that it would take 48 hours before someone spoke to me with regards to the query. At 2:27PM I received an sms that advised me that the audit can take up to 14 working days from Care Maynard Abrahams. So then alarmedly I switched off my data services (using my phone).
So today, at 2:24PM I decided to check my balance as I was very WORRIED and it is now sitting at R9864.70!!! I called again and spoke to a consultant and their supervisor but could not escalate this issue any further as I would have to "wait for the investigation". My debit order has no time to wait!!!
PLEASE HELP!
