Every month or two my internet has some sort of problem. I do everything I can to ensure the problem isn't a fault of my own before calling Telkom. I then brave the sometimes hour long wait before I get to speak to a consultant. I then explain my problem to the consultant who then makes me do everything I've already done despite me telling them I had already done it.

It all makes no difference. They then tell me that the fault with my router or my ISP (mweb). I have bought 4 routers over the course of 5 years and always check with mweb that the issue isn't on their side first. I am now sitting with line speeds equivalent to dial-up regardless of the fact that I have a 4mb/s package.

I fail to understand why my line has some sort of fault every month or two that can persist for up to 2 weeks. I have had technicians tell me that my line had been disconnected at the exchange. I hope that Telkom can find a permanent solution to a problem I believe is an issue for than just myself.
