No phone service for a week

We reported slow speeds on my Mweb adsl line to Mweb last week. After extensive problem determination tests Mweb said they were logging a fault with Telkom.

Then on Friday evening when I got home, I had no dial tone and no adsl whatsoever. We contacted Mweb to complain and they said they had updated the fault they had logged with Telkom.

On Saturday I called Telkom and they said they didn't have the additional info Mweb said they had logged, and said they added a note to the fault.

On Monday Mweb said that they had split off the "slow speeds" issue and the "no dialtone" issue from each other with Telkom.

I've tried contacting Telkom everyday since, and noone can tell me what's going on - other than there is "an area problem" and that the fault is still open. Since yesterday, my calls to Telkom have consistently been cut off at the "please hold while we transfer you" point. Also the "track a fault" utility on the Telkom website just shows that the fault is open and nothing else.

This morning when I left home, I still had no dialtone. Its been almost a week and I still don't have a working phone line and have no idea if/when I will again. Frustrating!
