Dealing with 8ta has been such a nightmare!! The following is the problems:

1. Joined them on 09th January on one of their unlimited call deals
2. On the 11th and 12th of January called their store to complain about poor signal and lack data signal - iactually never had that many voicemails in my life
3. At the store again on Monday 14th January, and they switched me onto the MTN signal, which helped with voice calls but not data.
4. On the 16th January i visited the store and completed the contract cancellation forms (within 5 working days) - to move my number over to prepaid.
5. Up to now the contract is not cancelled, but my phone line has been suspended, for what reason i have no clue!! No upaid bills, but suspended lines!!
6. Finding out from other networks, it actually takes a day to cancel the contract but 8ta is just dragging from 16th January as a means to derive more revenue??
7. Must have called their call centre about 50 times in the process, but their agents cannot transfer me to cancellations or retentions. I actually have no idea why they cannot.

To be honest, my business is suffering because of this. ADVICE - STAY AWAY FROM 8ta!!
