We recently moved house and needed to enable the current telephone line installed there for ADSL use. We lodged the case a month ago and received no follow ups, even though our ISP Mweb sorted everything from their side within 2 days and are just waiting for the line to be activated. All the while, we are paying both Telkom & Mweb for services that we cannot currently use. Mweb, great service, knowledgable & efficient. Telkom on the other hand, ignoring me on all communication platforms every time I try to follow up - from ignoring me on Twitter, to transferring me through to different lines while trying to resolve the issue telephonically, only to then be cut off, SEVERAL times. Then today, they send out a technician with a seriously bad attitude. All I want is to get my internet sorted so that I can actually USE what I am paying for so that I can do my job. Freelance designers cannot work without their internet. I'm losing out on money in more ways than one. But clearly, that doesn't phase Telkom, they have the monopoly, right? It's the bad service that's rubbing me up the wrong way and making this a VERY painful process. If service was better, I might've felt differently.
