Judgement against me through Vodacom fault

2 years ago in January I cancelled my Vodacom account with 2 months left on my contract. They sent me a premature quote which I signed and immediately paid via debit order from my bank account.

Months later and up until July last year I was receiving calls from a collection agency saying I still owed Vodacom R320.00 and every time I emailed them proof of payment, nothing was done. Obviously nothing happened until they transferred that money back to Vodacom.

I was not able to get vehicle finance as there was a judgement against me from Vodacom. I call Vodacom and they advise even though they sent me a premature quote, they forgot and did not include the month of January so the only way to clear my name is pay the outstanding amount and my name might get cleared by ITC.

Why must I pay for Vodacom's incompetence? Why must I go through the hassle of this back and forth nonsense to resolve something that was NOT MY FAULT! Why must I pay more money even though I signed and settled an agreement?

Vodacom, give me answer please.
