Vodacom
Free minutes

Telecommunications

In June I went into Vodacom to upgrade my phone. I chose a Galaxy S3Mini. At the time of upgrade I had accumulated over 300 free minutes. I asked if these would carry over and was told I would loose a percentage of them.
Now I am on a smart phone I find out that my 300 free minutes must be used within 30 days or I loose them. To make matters worse my new minutes for the new month (which are now only valid for 60 days) get used first.
Effectively Vodacom has from me. I paid for those minutes ( - R 900-00) and they were valid for 6 months. Now they get taken away
I have contcated the Customer Care Centre by e.mail 7 times, and their attitude is take it up with the shop, the shop tells me to take it up with the Customer Care Centre. Between them they are passing the buck, while from the public.

How much does Vodacom make from taking away minutes that people have paid for.

Why was I not informed that free minutes are only valid for 60 days, what was wrong with the original 6 months.

I have been with Vodacom literally since they started in this country, now on principal when my contract expires I WILL move to a more ethical provider.
