Contract upgrade means losing all my free minutes!

Telecommunications

How is it possible that after paying for "free" minutes each month on a Vodacom Everyday offpeak 120 contract for the past two years, I am now told that when I want to upgrade the contract and continue with Vodacom, I am told I lose ALL of my 350 free minutes. Minutes that are in fact NOT free, as I have paid for them within my contract over the past two years!! I am keeping the same number/line and staying with Vodacom (maybe not if this is not resolved) so what gives them the right to cancel my free minutes?! DISGUSTING, it is essentially! My debit order date is today, so I called in to find out if I upgrade today, do I still get billed another month on my current contract (thus accumulating and PAYING FOR another 120mins I get to LOSE), as well as the upgrade fees, oh yes I'm told I get billed TWICE!??! So i must pay for my current contract that I can no longer use the free minutes of, AND the new contract too!? Daylight. Utter nonsense.
