Simple complaint: Vodacom charges hideously high rates for data if not in a "bundle". So I buy data bundles. When my data bundle is finished however, my remaining airtime is quickly eaten up by the exorbitant rates. I have sometimes got an SMS from Vodacom warning me that I'm almost out of data. This typically comes the next day - when most of the airtime damage has been done.

It's clever, Vodacom, clever. My data ends up costing me almost twice as much as advertised, but you can sit there with a smug smile saying "Oooh, we're SOO cheap! " Why don't you send warnings in good time? Or have an auto data top-up feature? Or, heck, why not do like in other first world countries where there are no separate bundles and all phone use (calls, sms, data) comes out of a common pool of credit at reasonable flat rates? These would all be very useful for the customer. Indeed, it would make me very happy. I'd go with a company that did that, in a flash. But no, not Vodacom. You wouldn't be able to rack up as much illicit profit as you do. Nice, very nice.
