I phoned telkom to have a new line (DSL and Phone line) installed at my new house on the 2nd of December, and was assured that it would only take 2 weeks. After two weeks the call was still stuck at their technical center, and the order still had not been created. After phoning multiple times the order was created for the 13th of January, for which I had to take a day off and wait at home. Nobody contacted me, or notified me of anything during the day. I had to phone them throughout the day to make sure the technician is still coming, to which I was told that they would still come. Come 6 pm, still nothing, and no installation. So you tell people to stay at home for an entire day, and then don't even bother to pitch, or notify anyone. You can't even reach your own technicians, or give any indication as to why nobody even bothers. I've now spent more that 2 hours on the phone trying to sort this out, but the activation center is just as clueless. If this were any other company in South Africa, they would not exist, period. I beseech anyone who knows someone from another telecoms company oversees to try and convince them to buy out telkom, and start the compay afresh, it's a cance
