Months ago, I complained about the shoddy service we had received from Telkom both on our home line and at our new premises in Strathavon.

Regarding our home line, the technician who arrived on site advised us that the ADSL connectivity issues were due to a problem on our router. He even loaned us a router for two weeks and we had no problems. I have since replaced my router and still experience intermittent connectivity.

As for the new installation (that took almost a year), we have no ADSL on the line, the number the Telkom technician gave us is not the number of the line installed. The line installed is registered to a business up the road from us. I have tried multiple times to contact the technician directly (as he had advised me to do), but he never answers his phone or returns calls. The call centre refused to help, claims they have no record of our application for the line and now insist we start the installation process again from scratch.

What a circus!
