Telkom failing to install line and follow up

I had recently moved to a new area and promptly applied for a new telephone to be installed with order number # 83315896.

3 weeks later I was given a date, the 26th August. I had taken leave from work for the day and went to the Telkom store in the Greenstone Shopping Centre to request that the technician arrive at 9am - which the store technician made note of in my application.

To my disappointment the technician did not pitch or even call on the 26th. I phoned 10120 that day and was told the technician said I was "not ready" despite me being home the entire day.
After plenty of arguing the operator tried to contact Themba the technician with no prevail. She then contacted operations who rearranged the installation for the 30th August.

I again took leave for the 30th and once again the technician did not arrive with no prior notice given, also with me being home.

I went to the Telkom store again where they informed me that this is a common occurrence.

There I contacted Penelope at 10120 where she PROMISED me that the technician would phone me PERSONALLY today to give an excuse and to reorganise the installation.

That too didn't happen!

Utterly disgusting service Telkom.
