I am suppose to upgrade on the first of February 2014. I saw a deal in the specials that I really wanted and I went to the Walmer Shopping Center and was assisted by a white female, she was really rude and didn't look very keen to help me. I asked her if there was any way I could speed up my upgrade date and she just said that I must phone the call center and ask them if I could get an early upgrade.
I did exactly that I left the store and phoned the call center twice before I was finally transferred to the right department, at first the guy on the line told me that he cant help me in that regard as MTN doesn't do early upgrades. I then told him to give the amount to cancel my contract as I was at this point tired of their bad attitude. Then all of a sudden he was able to help me but I had to pay in 2 months of installments.
I got the reference number as required and went back to the store and was assisted by an trainee but the lady from earlier was next to him and once again she had that rude attitude of hers.
I am very unhappy with MTN now, why do you employ people that doesn't want to help customers?? Needless to say I still haven't upgraded!!
