I recently upgraded my iphone to a smart S plan. As advertised on their vodacoms website it comes with 500mb free data for a limited period. Went to the sandton city vodacom 4 u branch, asked for the same package and if offered with the same special data offer and was told yes. I took their word and signed the contract. Whether they misunderstood I don't know but I know what I asked for. Now I am told that I received a 1gig data bundle (promotional) for two months and that is it. Some vodacom stores don't offer the same packages as advertised on the website. This should be communicated to their customers and customers should not be dubbed into deals that are not the same. Now as the terms and conditions apply cancellations involves hefty penalties. As far as vodacom is concerned this will be the last I deal with them. A loyal customer for years this is the last I will deal with you guys. Even the call centre people are rude at times. Very few are friendly. Its as it they doing you a favour. I haven't complained about their service before but clearly all truths are not told when signing contracts. Nothing is explained. Only signatures required!!!
