Account Approved! 3 Days later disapproved!

I applied for a new phone Contract incl. phone! All fine, delivery on Friday.!
I called Friday morning when is the delivery? Account is not approved because I didn't answer yesterday my phone to confirm the delivery.
My battery is not ok, so that was the reason to get a new phone and also the reason not to answer!
Ok, not a problem, call me now when my old phone is on my pc.
Not possible, you can apply for a new contract in 3 month!
Is this a joke???
