I have 9 numbers with Vodacom my main number I have had for 12 years. Over the last year and a half of having 2 of the 4 data cards we have been averaging around maybe R1000.00 per month as it mainly used for email, internet banking and the odd browsing on the internet. For the 9 numbers I have my account has been averaging around R6000 a month. End of November they deducted R45 000.00 and suspended my account I had to pay another R13 000 to get it unblocked. They cannot tell me how the account reached that amount on 2 data cards and for 3 weeks in October we did not have ANY internet access as there were problems with the networks and we could not connect at all.
They now want to debit another R59 000. I have logged a call on 9 Dec, and received a confirmation fax that they have received the letter and copy ID. A couple of days ago they gave me a "courtesy" call to say that they have not received anything and that the R59000.00 would go off, I had to again lodge a complaint and send everything through as I am still waiting for itemised billing to be sent.
I have bought 2 pay as you go data cards and between the 2 we have only used maybe 18 Gig from end of Nov.
