I have been a MTN account older for the past 5 years and I still find myself questioning why I continue to renew my contract with them!!! On 5/12/2013 I upgraded my contract. I also asked the agent about the 'use your own' option. She insisted that the BIS does not have to be activated and that the usage will come off the data bundle package (ref no: SE5093183). I received the upgrade on 10/12/2013, lo and behold I discover that I have to add on BIS at an additiona cost. I would not have tied myself down to a 24MNTH if the consultant had not misled me. told her I wanted this contract cancelled to which her reply was that it has been activated so they cannot cancel the contract, obviously it would be activated, it was not supposed to differ from our contract. I had asked on 2 occassions for the manager to call me regarding this, nothing. Today I am told that my faulty handset cannot be replaced instore (contrary to what was communicated to me on 15/12/2013 by Ellen Magagula) but needs to be sent to the factory where tests will be run to determine why the speaker is faulty and then they will LOOK at replacing my phone with a new handset in the nw yr.i am now without a phone. What now MTN?
