MTN subscribes services on our SIMs

Telecommunications

We use prepaid MTN SIM cards in telemetry devices. There is no human access to the SIM cards, yet at least once a week, we detect that a SIM card is using up airtime too fast. When we investigate, we find that it has been subscribed to some sort of service (e.g. dating, ring tones, etc.). MTN passes the buck onto its third party services who are allowed to just deduct money from our SIM cards. The third party companies claim that someone subscribed to the service, yet we know this is impossible, because we have SIM tamper detection on our devices. If we kick up enough of a stink, the third party unsubscribes the SIM card and refunds us. The problem is that MTN is completely unwilling to help, yet the SIM card was purchased from MTN. There is some serious corruption going on.

In addition to this, I tried to log a technical query with MTN on their website because I'm tired of being on the phone for 30 min each time. I got an automated email as usual. Then 45 min later I got another automated email saying that they had canceled my query. i.e. they've decided to ignore my request. I don't think they know it sends emails out when they do this.

MTN, you are ruining our business.
